Manifest
Francoise Fougère
Françoise Fougère is a fictional woman I created. She has the kind gaze of a mother, who accompanies you without judgment. Françoise Fougère embodies a style, that of the French woman who loves painting, music, food, laughter, dancing, and above all, love. A woman who doesn't have time to go astray or live a life that isn't her own.
She sometimes speaks too loudly, she doesn't always listen, she laughs too often, and she contradicts herself all the time. Her bag contains her daily life.
Françoise has in her handbag a wallet with 34 photos of her children and her man, a phone that rings all day, a makeup bag that contains 12 lipsticks, glosses and other comforting balms, a compote and a bag of sugar from the cafe next door, a page from Vogue torn out in a doctor's office and a lighter even though she doesn't smoke.
Françoise is a not-so-discreet heroine who doubts herself, blushes at compliments, contradicts herself, panics, and then loudly proclaims her manifesto: that of being free to be all the women she wants to be.
Françoise Fougère was inspired by: Chantal, Joséphine, Athéna, Yvonne, Paulette, Victoria, Marie B, Marie G, Jessica, Samantha, Bérénice, Elodie, Gwenaëlle, Laurence, Christine, Stéphanie, Mélanie, Noémie, Nathalie, Catherine, Émilie, Martine, Simone, Caroline, Marion, Olivia …and all the others past and future.
