Maintenance tips

For a recent grease or make-up stain:

Cover the stain with Sommières clay without rubbing.
Let the powder absorb the grease for at least 2 to 3 hours (for an old stain, you can leave it overnight).
Remove excess: Shake the vanity over a trash can or use a vacuum cleaner with a clean brush attachment to vacuum up the powder.
Brush: Finish with a small soft brush (such as a soft toothbrush or suede brush) to restore the velvety appearance of the microfiber.

My tips

"Dry" makeup (powders, eyeshadows): Never try to rub with a finger or a damp cloth right away! It's better to vacuum up the excess powder first, then use Sommières clay if a greasy residue persists.
Colored stains (intense lipstick): Sommières clay will absorb the grease, but a slight pigment may remain. In this case, a tiny drop of soapy water (Marseille soap) on a well-wrung cloth can complete the action after the powder.
